Christian submission is given, not taken; offered, not demanded. This truth will keep you from being used and abused. It puts the decision where it belongs: with you. The New Testament asks the believer to submit in marriage, in the home, and in the church. In all these settings, the Bible gives guidelines or responsibilities for both parties in each relationship. We all know the importance of making a good choice in a marital partner.
