“Moving Christians from the pew to the harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38
God is faithful!
Glory! We are living in interesting times. Days of opportunity, days of testing, and days of victory.
Judy and I, along with our entire Tucson team for Mexico were hit with the Omicron bug in the middle of January. We all came through it in fine fashion, however the isolation requirements stopped us from going to Hermosillo for Congreso. What a disappointment!
The team down there had less than a week’s notice that their speakers were not coming. They did a great job. They gathered and prayed, then decided to go ahead with the meetings. Our leaders there took responsibility for the preaching, as everything else was already prepared. The meetings came off in fine style with the presence of God gracing the gatherings.
Yesterday, I had breakfast with Pastors Alberto and Nelly Flores. The reports they gave were so encouraging. Our graduates did a great job. The attendees were amazed at the anointing and blessing. I think it’s beginning to dawn on them that they can have great teaching and ministry without a single American in the house. I am so proud of all of them.
Ongoing:
Instituto de Entrenamiento Minisiterial de Fe: The first year classes resume next week. The new faculty did a very good job with the first course, Fundamentos do la Fe, which finished up just before congreso. Now they are teaching “Carácter Cristiano para el Ministerio.” I can’t tell you how proud I am of this team.
Also in February, we will be teaching the level 2 class, “Spirit-filled Ministry.” This course covers integrity in ministry, the power and pitfalls of supernatural ministry, and practical aspects of following the flow of the Spirit in your church. I believe we will be fanning the flames of the fire that is already burning in the hearts of these men and women.
This week, I am starting the process of recording the classes on Church Government with Spanish interpretation. Hopefully, by the time we finish all 8 hours of content, the translation of the book “How to Run a Sheep Shed” will be ready to go. I plan to make this course freely available online. This content is much needed.
Leaders Growing Leaders: Our monthly leadership meetings via Zoom resume this weekend. January was cancelled due to problems with our interpreters, but we should be back on track this week. We will be discussing the nature and practice of good communication skills. It will be a blessing.
There are 2 new projects for this year that are already getting my attention. I will be sharing about them in the days ahead. Pray for me to have wisdom and resources to get the job done.
