Update from Pastor Virgil. 3/16/23

Moving Christians from the pew to the harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38

March 16, 2023

What you do is important!

We certainly live in interesting times. News of revival and impending destruction arrive in my inbox almost every day. It’s so easy to get yanked to or fro by each new tidbit of information. In the midst of it all, it’s good to remember who we are, what we do, and why we do it. I’ve been thinking of those things a lot lately.

I wanted to keep this newsletter brief, but not at the expense of having something of value to share. As I prayed for you, the Lord said, “What you do is important.” Wow! That’s the Word for you and me today. What we do is important. Your service to the Lord makes a difference. If you’re preaching or teaching, whether to one or one thousand, it’s important. If you’re serving coffee or cleaning floors, or giving, or visiting the sick, or sharing with a co-worker, it’s important. The message we carry and the way we carry it changes lives, and every life counts. The price that Jesus paid is exactly the same for each one.

Here’s the point: Don’t quit. Do it with all your heart. Jesus is coming.

Updates:

Ordination vows

FCF West gathering: FCF Tucson hosted a group of FCF ministers from the western United States here in Tucson 2 weeks ago. It was a privilege to be able to rub elbows with some wonderful people, and to participate in the ordination of a new FCF Pastor. The whole meeting seemed to zero in on being sensitive to the Spirit of God, whether in church, on the job, or talking to others. Revival is in the air, and we are going to walk in it, not just in our services, but in our lives.

Pastor Randy Winkles HPCAZ

Leaders and Pastors: Along the lines of revival and refreshing, check this out. If you love and hunger for the Presence of God in your church, there’s an event coming up in Tucson you will enjoy. April 21-22 I will be part of a team ministering at “Southern Arizona Pastors and Leaders Gathering” at His Presence Church. This is an annual event, and last year was a huge blessing. This year’s theme is “Presence over Performance.” I expect it to be powerful and helpful. It requires registration, and space is limited, so check it out.

IEMFe in Hermosillo:

Rev. Joshua Taylor

Rev. Joshua Taylor and I will be heading to Hermosillo, Sonora from March 23rd until the 27th. We’ll be teaching the first half of the 2nd Level course, “Biblical Money Dynamics.” I expect lives and churches to be changed. We will hold a pastor’s breakfast on Saturday the 25th, then speak in churches on Sunday. Please keep us in your prayers. The border is a mess, and Mexico is not a recommended destination at the moment, but we have the wisdom of God and lots of angels on duty.

Coming Events:

Thank you for your prayers and support. What you do is important. We pray for each of you to be fruitful in the work God has given you. Thank you for your confidence in us. It’s definitely revival time, so let’s stay the course and enjoy the ride! As we each do our part, regular people can do remarkable things.

Financial support can be sent to Faith Christian Fellowship of Tucson at the address below or given online at www.fcftucson.org. Make checks payable to FCFT and designate for missions or pastorvirgil and it will get where it needs to go. We pray for you and your house.
