It’s Pray Day!

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

(1 Timothy 2:1-2 NKJV)

It just seems urgent that we do some praying for our nation. Join me, would you? You might pray something like this, then just pray in tongues.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege of coming boldly into your presence in the Name of Jesus Christ.  First of all, I give thanks and pray for our nation’s leaders, in particular, our president and his family, our Vice President and his family, and my representatives in Congress.  Thank You that as I do so you make it possible for me to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

I ask that you would give our leaders grace to walk in integrity.  Fill them with wisdom so they might discern evil and follow good. Turn the hearts of our leaders to follow You in every decision and life issue. Give us leadership who walk righteously and turn our nation from transgression.  We enjoy the benefits of godly rulers.  (Proverbs 10:9; 20:26; 21:1; 28:2)

You said, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,” (Psalm 33;12).  I offer myself to You as an instrument in restoring our land and bringing her into a place to claim that promise boldly. I yield myself to Your Holy Spirit to pray through me as You desire, the will of God for the saints.  (Romans 8:26, 27; 1 Corinthians 14:2,14) Thank You for hearing me. (1 Joh 5:14-16)
