Mark 4:13-15 NKJV
One day this week, I heard the Holy Ghost say, “It’s the Message, stupid!” Now, you may not believe God would say such a thing, but I believe He did. He knew I would understand it in light of the famous proverb from the Bill Clinton campaign in 1992: “It’s the economy, stupid.” The point was to remind everyone on the campaign team to avoid the temptation to get distracted with other issues. The economy was the single issue that the electorate responded to.
In our day, I believe we need to remember that the issue in everything we do is the message. All the assaults of the enemy are aimed at stopping the Word of God from being delivered accurately, received with understanding, and implemented with perseverance. The devil doesn’t hate you as an individual. He hates what the Word can do in you and through you. This Sunday, head for church with a determination to hear the Word, apply the Word, and pass on the Word. Don’t let yourself get distracted from the main issue.
My lovely wife Jill delivered a wonderful message Sunday morning at our home church here in Coffee Creek. I am very blessed to have her and anointing with music in my life
