Sunday Supernaturally : Expecting

This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”

Acts 2:39 NLT

We had a great time yesterday with Rev. Tony Cooke teaching on Miracles and the Supernatural Throughout Church History.  It was a march through the ages beginning in the Book of Acts and moving all the way to the Charismatic Renewal.  It’s clear that the history of the church is really a history of  supernatural revival followed by descent into dead religion, a repeating cycle throughout the centuries.  The supernatural is the norm for New Testament Christianity.  Dead form is the norm for religious flesh.  I don’t know about you, but I am hungry for the real thing.  Whatever it takes!

I’m headed to church today with the expectation that the same Holy Spirit who fell on the crowd at Cornelius’s house, who anointed Jesus of Nazareth to go about healing all, who struck the sorcerer blind and caused the crippled man at Lystra to rise and walk, that same Holy Ghost will be  in our midst today.  We will expect Him, listen to Him and yield to Him.  He will do marvels in our midst.  Lives will be changed and God will be glorified.  Let’s do this!
