There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.
Ephesians 4:5-7 NLT

It’s hard to read the New Testament without coming to the conclusion that the Church is designed to be God’s representation in the earth. There are many different Christian groups. We each have our own little eccentricities of faith and practice. But the larger picture is that there is really only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and One God and Father. He is the Father of all who name the Name of Christ. He is over all, in all and (get this) living through all.
He is living through you and me and all the others who claim Jesus as their Lord. He is doing this in spite of all our disagreements, arguments, and snootiness. To this end, He has given each one of us, yes, even you, a special gift. When all the individual gifts are used in concert, it measures up to the manifestation of the grace of Christ in the earth. I don’t claim to know what happens if you refuse to join in the concert, not playing your God-given part. I do know it’s better with you than without you. Let’s go to Church today and do our part. Have a great Sunday.
