For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
Colossians 2:5 NKJV

We are certainly in an interesting moment in history. The most powerful and prosperous nation in the history of the world has been staggered by a punch to the mid-section. How will she respond? We’ll find out. In the meantime, we the Church are faced with brand new dilemmas and opportunities. Today is Sunday, but most of us are not going to be in a church. That does not mean we cannot still be the Church.
- We need each other. Christianity is a team sport, and that doesn’t change when we can’t gather. Whatever your church is doing today, online, sparsely spaced seating, drive-by blessings, or whatever, get in on it. The vision and purposes of God have not changed one iota. In addition, you need what the rest of the Body has to offer. I absolutely guarantee that your pastor has labored unusually hard, prayed with exceptional passion, and experienced doubts and fears beyond the typical burden. He or she will have a word for us, and we need it.
- The Kingdom continues. All the work of the church goes on. The ministry continues and even increases in this time. The principles of the Kingdom don’t change. The devourer is rebuked for the tither, the harvest comes only to the sower. Support your local Body in prayer and finances. It is mission-critical at this time.
God is about to do something spectacular. Don’t miss it.
