Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

The last few months have made me painfully aware of the importance of gathering with the saints in the house of the Lord. It’s where His Spirit flows, His Presence envelops, and His ministers teach and impart. There is no substitute. So many times over the years, the Lord has done profound things in my life when in that holy place. Today, I refuse to just go through the motions of making my weekly nod to God. I want to get what He wants to give me.
Yesterday, He dropped three specific things in my heart that I am going to receive today:
- Something to know: He will teach me from His Word information that by revelation that will make me more effective and confident in the life of faith. Ephesians 4:11-12
- Something to be: He will do something in me to move me closer to the kind of man I want to be, one who reflects His grace to the world and to those around me. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
- Something to do: He will put one thing in my heart that I can do in the week ahead to further the Kingdom and touch a life for Jesus Christ. James 2:17-18
Jump in with me and put your faith in gear. This is a precious opportunity, not a religious duty. Let’s go up the mountain to the house of the Lord: Know, be, and do.
