There’s More to Come!
On Easter Sunday morning, I was praying and reading as I always do. There was an unusually strong sense of the Lord’s presence in my office as I thought about the wonder of His resurrection. In that atmosphere, I began to think back over all the times of being in His presence, seeing Him do miracles, watching as lives were changed and people grew in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Gratitude flooded my heart. It really has been a wonderful life.
As I got up to get ready for church, I had one of those moments when the voice of the Spirit on the inside speaks up. Not an audible voice, but a thought that has great clarity and is louder than my own thinking. He said, “There’s more to come.” In that moment, I knew what He was addressing. I had been having various physical challenges, I was feeling tired of doing the things necessary to get people organized, and sometimes that thought comes that maybe it’s time to call it a day. It usually comes in the form of a thought like, “I don’t think I can do this anymore.” God was telling me that He’s not done and neither am I.
It’s not just for me, it’s for us all. God’s not done nor is He shocked by the condition of the world. He knew about it and He has planned for it, and He prepared us to be in on it. He is going to do great things, and we get to be part of it. Do what’s in front of you to do, and trust Him. There’s more to come!
Updates:
IEMFe in Hermosillo was tremendous: The first half of the 2nd Level course, “Biblical Money Dynamics,” was absolutely great. Over 50 students registered, and the responses were enthusiastic. These first classes were aimed at transforming attitudes toward money. I believe many eyes were opened. We’re going back to finish the course on May 18-19. Remember to pray for us as we head back into Mexico.
The Pastors Breakfast on Saturday was powerful as well. We heard testimonies from pastors about what God has done since Congreso in January. Maybe the most impressive thing was hearing how they have applied what they’ve learned, and overcome resistance to possess what God has for them. It was truly inspiring. The same was true of the churches where we ministered on Sunday. We heard reports about how the Bible school material is being used to make disciples in the local churches. Our graduates are training others, who are training others. That’s the way it’s supposed to work.
We arrived early at Iglesia Orabes on Sunday morning. The adult Sunday school class was going on and the teacher was one of our grads. What a thrill it was to hear Paola as she taught on the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. She did a great job! She is also one of the instructors in the first level classes being taught monthly at Iglesia Vina Nueva.
Leaders and Pastors: April 21-22 I will be part of a team ministering at “Southern Arizona Pastors and Leaders Gathering” at His Presence Church. This year’s theme is “Presence over Performance.” If you love and hunger for the Presence of God in your church, this event is for you. If you’re not in Tucson, the sessions will be live-streamed. It requires registration, and space is limited, so check it out.
