Sunday Supernaturally: God Help Us!

God says, “At the appointed times, I judge fairly. When the earth and all its inhabitants dissolve in fear, I make its pillars secure.” (Selah) I say to the proud, “Do not be proud,” and to the wicked, “Do not be so confident of victory! Do not be so certain you have won! Do not speak with your head held so high! For victory does not come from the east or west, or from the wilderness. For God is the judge! He brings one down and exalts another.

Psalms 75:2-7 NET

“I looked for a man from among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one.

Ezekiel 22:30 NET

We are living in dangerous times. The world is a mess and our country seems to be in turmoil. We are facing an election with some rather unorthodox choices, but they are choices that must be made. One of the ways God judges nations is through the choice of their leaders. Poor leadership can be part of God’s judgment on a nation. God may also use imperfect people to accomplish His will.

I believe that we always have a say in what happens and that it always starts with prayer. This week God is going to lift up some and pull down others. He is looking for people to stand in the gap before Him to hold back the hand of judgment. Please, let’s pray that He will raise up those who will obey Him and lead us away from the brink of destruction once again. Lord, here I am. Use me!
