Praying for God to give us leadership at the national level. Gleaning from several sources, I found the definition of leadership to be a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. A leader leads by inspiration and instruction, building consensus in achieving a widely held objective. On the other hand, the dictionary says that a pimp is a person, especially a man, who solicits customers for a prostitute or a brothel, usually in return for a share of the earnings; a procurer, a despicable person. The pimp may exercise control over his workers through addiction to drugs and or threat of harm. In watching the proceedings in Washington, I find very little that looks like leadership, but a lot that looks like pimping. Maybe we should change the titles to Majority Pimp and Minority Pimp. Now taking suggestions for a new word for senator.
