Building People of Substance for Works of Power
Let’s pray, Amigos!!!!
Last Sunday evening we had a remarkable prayer meeting. About a half hour in, the Spirit of God came in the place in a very powerful way. There was a period of intercession that took us to another level, then the wave subsided and a peace settled over the 20 or so who were present. Then the Lord gave us a word of encouragement. I want to share that word with you, and the scriptures we were appealing to when it came. Here is the meat of what He said:
“You have entered in to the gap before me. You are standing between your nation and judgment. Stay there. Do not be deterred by what you see and hear around you. Stay in the gap and make up the wall.”
That is a clear reference to Ezekiel 22:30, which is familiar to us all. Before we began to pray, we appealed to two passages of scripture concerning the coming elections:
1. Describing the people we want to be elected: “We plan the way we want to live, but only GOD makes us able to live it. A good leader motivates, doesn’t mislead, doesn’t exploit. GOD cares about honesty in the workplace; your business is his business. Good leaders abhor wrongdoing of all kinds; sound leadership has a moral foundation. Good leaders cultivate honest speech; they love advisors who tell them the truth. An intemperate leader wreaks havoc in lives; you’re smart to stay clear of someone like that. Good-tempered leaders invigorate lives; they’re like spring rain and sunshine.” (Proverbs 16:9-15 MSG)
2. Concerning what we are believing God to do: For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another. (Psalms 75:6-7 NKJV)
Since Sunday, I have continued to pray at every opportunity, stepping instantly into that Presence and allowing the Spirit of God to pray for me with unintelligible groanings (Romans 8:26). I want to invite you into the gap with us. Please, take time to get serious in praying between now and Tuesday evening. Judgment can be stayed, good leaders can be elected, and God will move in our land.
Somebody Said: Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church; it is a goodly Christian weapon. Martin Luther
Scripture Reading: So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. (Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV)
Be prepared to see the Hand of God move in our land.

Praise God! I’ve been led to pray for weeks now – at every opportunity. We need to stay in prayer and trust the only one we can trust – the Holy Anointed One! The Lord has also had me praying for the protection of the Trump family. Where there appears no way can be found, our Lord will make a way!
