Church Supernaturally: God With, In, and Through.

22 All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: 23 “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.'” – Matthew 1:22-23 NLT

Christmas is in full swing. I hit the post office yesterday, and it was jammed. The roads were a tangled mess. Yet I had the most wonderful day. I got to be part of a group who went to the nursing home to sing Christmas Carols and distribute gifts to the residents. It was great. Smiles, tears, hugs… God was truly with us. He touched others through us, and His Spirit was stirred in us.

Today, I get to gather with these same people as we congregate to worship and fellowship and pray together. God will be among us. I feel compassion for those who don’t have the blessing of a church family. It’s a special thing, and Christmas just makes me more acutely aware and grateful. Don’t let the chance pass you by. Get to a church, sing a carol, hug a neck, and enjoy the peace. Merry Christmas.
