Sunday Supernaturally: Saying Thanks

11 Whoever speaks, let it be with God’s words. Whoever serves, do so with the strength that God supplies, so that in everything God will be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11 NET

Thank you!

A few weeks ago I arrived unusually early at a church where I was preaching. I was greeted by a gentleman who was mopping the floors and resupplying the restrooms. Soon, another young man showed up and began realigning chairs. Shortly the sound man arrived and began prepping equipment. Then came the coffee team, the kids workers, and the door greeters. I was overwhelmed again by all the things that need to be done to have a church service of any size. I believe each of these servants receives credit in Heaven for lives that are changed in the meeting.

I’m going to my home church today. My plan is to look around at all the stuff I take for granted and find womeone to thank for my bulletin, my clean chair, and the song words on the overhead screen. You get the point. As you head to the gathering of the saints today, join me in appreciating all the hands and hearts that make it so simple for me to worship the Lord, receive the Word, fellowship with the saints, Thank God for every helper.
