We wish you a Merry Christmas!
December is a special time. The holidays, along with the weather, make being indoors seem cozy. It lends itself to reflection. Judy and I are particularly aware of how blessed we are to have friends like you. We want to wish you a peaceful and joyous Christmas season.
What a year this has been! Judy and I have been blessed beyond measure. She has overcome some health challenges that seemed daunting in the moment, but the faithfulness of God never changed. God is good! For me, it was 1969 when the orthopedic doctor told me I would probably be an invalid by the time I reached 45 because of a back injury. I’m happy to report that, though the devil has tried tirelessly to fulfill that prediction, God has proven more than enough. I’m 28 years past 45, and I am on the move!
I suppose I could bore you with numbers, but allow me just one paragraph to say, “God has been very good to us.” So far in 2021, we’ve done 20 Mexico leadership trainings on Zoom, 48 radio shows for Panama (and videos for Facebook), 16 Facebook Live classes for Peru, the teacher trainings and launch of the Hermosillo bible school, completion of the “Healing Help” series in print and on video, and that doesn’t include the services conducted here in the States or in Mexico. We have to say it has been a good year, and we are grateful.
We taught the “Life in the Spirit” course in Hermosillo this fall. Each student who completes the homework receives a copy of Kenneth E. Hagin’s book, “How You Can be Led by the Spirit of God.” I couldn’t resist letting a few of our students say, “Thank You.”
Great Challenges Produce Great Revival: God has prepared a people for this hour.
There are great things ahead. The pandemic continues. The world situation is toxic on a good day. The planet seems to be at odds with its inhabitants. The economy is convulsing. Persecution of the church is flourishing. Praise God! It’s a perfect time for a revival, and I believe it has already begun. I’ve been out and about for several months now, and I see signs everywhere. People are hungry for reality. There’s nothing like adversity and uncertainty to turn people’s hearts to God. At the same time, there’s an uptick in the anointing on the faithful. I’ve seen it in our own services and on other preachers to whom I’ve spoken. The seeker-sensitive, milquetoast-and-gruel era is ending. Real love is producing real power. Something is happening.
We sensed an uptick in the move of God beginning in January of 2020. Then the virus came. Satan has taken his best shot, but while he thought he had us locked in our houses, we managed to network via new technologies. Many of us used the down-time to reload, refire, and prepare for the explosion of need that lies before us. It’s gonna be fun!
This morning, as I prayed before writng this, the Spirit of God said, “I have prepared a people.” To you and your house, have a great Christmas season. Don’t despair, and don’t take care. Rest, rejoice, and love one another. Savor the good stuff, refresh your zeal and get ready. God knew this hour was coming, and He is not without resources. He has a plan and a people and we are part of both.
