Sunday Supernaturally: Good and Pleasant

A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.

Psalm 133:1-3 NKJV

What a great description of church! We get to come together and worship our Lord. As we worship, our petty differences fade in the light of His glory. We are one for no other reason than we love Him. When that happens, oil flows and dew falls.

  • David said, “I have been anointed with fresh oil.”  The sweet anointing of the Spirit descends upon us afresh. It drips off the robes of our High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. As the anointing drips, we can touch the hem of His garment and receive healing.
  • The dew of Hermon begins to fall. This term means a light and refreshing rain that brings life to the parched land, “so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

I’ll meet you there!
