Sunday Supernaturally: God at Work

And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance

Genesis 45:7 NKJV

Reading the story of Joseph in Genesis reminds me of the bridge from a song we sing called “Way Maker.” I like it because it reminds me that there is always more going on than meets the eye.

Even when I don’t see it, You’re working
Even when I can’t feel it, You’re working
You never stop, You never stop working
You never stop, You never stop working

Way Maker by M. W. Smith

Every day and all the time, God is working in me to grow me into His image.  At the same time, He is using me to impact the lives of others.  Whether in prayer, in teaching, in worship, or in acts of kindness, He is using me.  All the while, He is preparing me for things in the future that I can’t know.  I am being used, repaired and prepared all the time.

Today, as we gather to worship, be aware that God is at work.  He’s growing you, using you, and preparing you.  Be alert to what God is doing.  He never stops working.
