Satan is a remarkably faithful member of most churches. One of his jobs is to distract, disrupt, and generally impede the flow of the Word and the Spirit. We don't have to allow him to succeed. Take a minute to clean house before every service.

Lead a Life of Prayer
Paul repeatedly talked about constant prayer, but we tend to ignore it, reserving our "prayer time" for a few moments in the morning or on the drive to work. It’s time to rethink the instructions to ”pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), “be constant in prayer” (Romans 12:12), and “praying at all times in the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:18). Jesus is our example. We’re never alone, but we’re often out of touch. Lead a life of prayer.
