Sunday Supernaturally: Dig Deep

Someone’s thoughts may be as deep as the ocean, but if you are smart, you will discover them. (Proverbs 20:5 CEV)

Proverbs 20:5 CEV)

Yesterday I had the privilege of attending a breakfast for pastors and ministry leaders.  The topic of the day was “Write the Vision.” As part of the exercise, 5 people shared the experience with God that prompted them to start their church or ministry. As each one shared, the emotion was obvious.  Those moments of divine contact are so very moving, and recounting them stirs up that passion, awe, and gratitude. You could sense the empathy and compassion of the other leaders in the room as these moments were shared. At the end of the meeting, there was a time of prayer, one for another, that was very powerful.  The sharing of hearts prompted new closeness.

Today is Sunday.  Let’s go to church. As we do, be aware that the people around us have had their own moments with God.  Be it their salvation experience, a healing, or a fresh dream that God has placed in their heart.  Let’s look for opportunities to draw from the depths of divine experience in the parts of the Body sitting next to us, walking in front of us, or even withdrawing from us.  Solomon said that if we’re smart, we’ll discover the thoughts from the reserves in the hearts around us.  Be smart today.
