Drinking from the River

How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.

Psalms 36:7-9 NLT

Last week was a reminder of why we do this.  I got to Hermosillo on Tuesday evening, planning to do several things on Wednesday, but had some personnel problems and had to reboot.  Thursday and Friday we completed the divine Healing course of IEMFe, and it was really powerful.  The power of God to heal was tangible the last evening. Saturday morning the Pastor’s Breakfast had leaders of 7 ministries sharing their visions, discussing the future of IEMFe, and praying powerfully for their city and for one another. Speaking of the future of IEMFe, on this trip we worked in two new interpreters who served very well.  Our entire registration and homework distribution process was done by students under the guidance of Rosa Garcia de Andrade.  The future is bright.

Then came Sunday! Pastors Martin and Rosa Maria who invited us to Grupo Amistad Los Olivos.  Wow! Precious people, the Presence of God in worship, and the altar full with 12 people receiving the Baptism with the Holy Spirit,  It was just outstanding.  Pastora Rosa shared with us over lunch how she was so tired, even burned out from ministry.  She and Martin had talked about feeling alone and prayed for somewhere to connect and be built up. Then they attended Congreso in January and began coming to IEMFe in February. It has been like a fresh wind for them.  You can see it and sense it and hear it in her voice. God is doing something here and we get to be part of it. This message and the methods we use to impart it make a difference in the lives of real people. Thanks to all for your prayers and support. Together we do.
