No matter how wonderful your personal relationship with the Lord, it will fall short of His will if you try to go it alone. If you have a church where the Bible is taught and practiced, then go back there. If you don't, send me a message and I'll start praying while you start looking.

We are Family
"Whether we act like it or not, if we have committed our lives to Christ and believed on His name, we are children of the same Father. We are family. As with your natural clan, you may have some siblings you don’t like. You may disagree with one another, but you’re still family. You were born that way. Likewise the church."
Equipped for Battle
The world is a mess., but glory to God, we are here to help. What a great time to gather with the saints and prepare for the battle. Let's go to church expecting to be equipped. We're in the army now!
The Pillar and Foundation of the Truth
The local church is called out of the world and into a relationship with a God who is very much alive and wants to dwell among His people, unlike the pagan gods in the community around them. This called-out family is the edifice that is the "pillar and foundation" of the truth.
Shepherd the Flock of God
Whether we were created that way or it came as a result of the fall, God clearly likes to refer to us as sheep. It's all over the Bible. Sheep are sometimes described as eating or resting, but more often they wander off, become weary and discontented, or are eaten by wolves. Baaahhhh!
Rooted, Connected, Fruitful
When we get together as the church, the called-out people of God, let’s remember whose we are and why we gather. We can’t be connected to the vine without being in close proximity to the other branches. As we receive the seed of the Word and the watering of the Spirit, our faith will grow and our connection to the Vine will be strengthened. As a result, our fruitfulness will be increased.
Update from Pastor Virgil – January 2026
We are so grateful to have friends, old and new, who believe in us and the work God has given us. Thank you for your prayers and support. Hopefully, you can see that together, we really are making a difference.
Dressed for Church
The Bible employs the beautiful metaphor of the Church as the Bride of Christ. This is no coincidence. It reveals the intimacy and permanence of our relationship with our glorious Savior. How precious must the Church be to Him that He would use such an image when talking about us!
Y’all Come!
As we gather with the saints this week, let us take a moment to reflect on the importance of this occasion. Jesus came to Earth as a physical manifestation of God's love. God loved us so much that he gave us his son. And He didn't stop there!
The Hope of His Calling
We are the Church: a gathering of people who have been called out. Although the calling is individual, when we receive it we become part of the assembly. I pray that for you today that you will know what you are called from and what you are called to. That calling is the source of hope, both for now and for eternity.
