Wednesday Prayer: Right Relationships

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples.”

John 13:34-35 NLT

Strife and division are primary enemies of the Kingdom of God at every level. Right relations with others are the bedrock of Kingdom living. Let’s establish love and peace in the lives of others as we pray.

Thank you, Father, that all our church family, our pastors, and our co-laborers in the Gospel are living in the love of God.  All their relationships are strong, loving, and healthy, submitting to one another out of reverence for you.   Husbands are loving their wives as Christ loved the Church, wives are respecting their husbands, children are honoring their parents, parents are bringing up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  (Ephesians 5:21-6:4)

Love is reigning in relationships with other believers.  Encouragement, edification, and peace mark the church and its people.  God is being honored in how they treat one another, acting and speaking with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. (Colossians 3:12-21; Ephesians 4:32-32; John 13:34-35)

Every church and ministry is living free from internal strife. Nothing is done through strife or conceit. People are like-minded and loving. In humility and grace, each one is esteeming others as better than himself, looking not only on his own things but also on the things of others.  The mind of Christ abides among them. Wisdom from above is manifested as they live in purity and peace, being gentle, yielding to others, showing mercy and performing acts of kindness.  There is no respect of status nor any hypocrisy. (Philippians 2:1-5; James 3:13-18)

Thank you!
