A few weeks ago I headed for church with several questions on my mind concerning direction for ministry. I went that morning believing that God would speak to me in the service. I believe that is the primary place He speaks to His kids. The pastors of my church are a couple who grew up in the ministry as assistants to me. They now walk together as a team to shepherd this flock. On this Sunday, the wife was speaking. I set my faith to receive what God had for me in her message. He didn’t disappoint. She spoke something God had given her, and it spoke specifically to what I needed. I wrote it down and began looking for application.
Here’s my point. It’s Sunday. I don’t know where God set you, but wherever it is that’s where the insight and knowledge you need will be supplied today. Go to the church God put you in, set your faith to receive from the ministry gift He has put there today, and expect to hear from Heaven. If you don’t go, if you don’t believe, or if you discount or demean the gifts He has set, prepare to hear nothing and continue in your confusion. Let’s all receive from God today.
