As it is, however, God put every different part in the body just as he wanted it to be. There would not be a body if it were all only one part! As it is, there are many parts but one body.

Today, I had the chance to walk around the grounds here at Los Portales in Tarma. Junin, Peru. There are lots of plants, especially flowers. I watched a man work at getting the flower beds fixed just so. He was careful to use different kinds of flowers, different heights, different leaves, different colors to give contrast. It was all kind of interesting. Most of them were yellows, or different shades of reds and pinks, but some of them were just plain weird. Yet it all worked.
I couldn’t help thinking of the church. We need to be ready to be around folks who are not like us. In fact, if we aren’t around some different people we’re probably not very effective. Different experiences, different giftings, different circumstances in life all form different flowers to be planted by the Lord in His church as it pleases Him. He is always right, even if the one next to you is more than a little weird. How about going to church today and getting up close and personal with different. Try it, you might like it.
