The pandemic has done damage on many levels. For the Church, I think one of the enemy’s number-one purposes has been to keep us from gathering together. There is power in being personally present with other believers. In this story, we see that Jesus was willing to take a walk so He could lay hands on a young girl. There is a particular power in physically laying hands on the sick. It was Jesus’s go-to method.
This last week I was in meetings in Mexico. In two separate services, the Spirit of God entered the building in a tangible way. It was so powerful as to be difficult to describe. I had trouble standing. People were overcome with the Presence. People were healed and transformed. This is supposed to be how we live when we come together. He’s in our midst, and He does things to help people in that atmosphere.
Don’t let the devil steal the blessings of the corporate gathering. When we show up, the Lord does, too. Let’s go to church!
