Let’s Try a Little Faith

As we prepare for church this week, we can make our meeting more than a lecture and a mini-concert. If we come with faith, Jesus will still show up. He hasn't changed!

Stay Steady!

When God speaks to us, we usually believe that it will happen very soon. That's a possibility, but it's not the rule. We see from God's advice to Habakkuk that once we have written the vision, it may take a while. Don't quit!

God’s Favorite Song

All of us face some tough times. Adam made sure of that. Jesus faced them, too. He had a weapon that is available to you and I: He knew God's favorite song, and He sang it as He faced the cross. Let's try it!

Vision or Pipe Dream?

When God gives you direction for your life or ministry, write it down. Until you write it down, it's nothing more than a pipe dream. It’s devoid of substance. Writing forces you to express ideas in a coherent manner. If you can't write it, you don't understand it. You won't be able to effectively share it with others.

Guardrails for Guidance: Only Buy the Real thing

Be sure to test out your revelations before you palm them off on somebody else as being from God. If you do miss it, be willing to admit it. It will give you more credibility, not less. There’s no hurry, we have all eternity, and a God who knows the end from the beginning.

Join the Choir?

Psalm 150 concludes the Book of Psalms with the command to "Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!" When we do that, special things happen. I'm inviting you to join the "Everything That Has Btreath Choir." If you're breathing, you're qualified.

Life is Draining: Stay Tanked Up

Have you ever felt like life has drained you of your spiritual vigor, like you don’t have enough faith to face the things that are coming at you? Most of us have. Fortunately, the Bible shows us how we can stay tanked up, ready to quench fiery darts and move mountains.

Unexpected opportunities

Going to church is not just a box on our to-do list. God wants us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. He wants us to open our hearts to the teaching of the Word, and to impact and be impacted by the other precious people we meet along the way. Be ready for unexpected opportunities.
