People Need Purpose
One of the more common phrases in our Christian world is “I’m going to pray about it.” In this case we’re talking about praying about God’s direction and purpose for your life and ministry. So what does that mean? How do I “look out to see what he will say to me”?
Do you have a “raison d’être”?
When you know the "why" of your existence, it provides you with motivation, direction, and most importantly, a sense of purpose. In French, they call it "raison d'être," which translates to "reason for being." Purpose changes lives.
Embracing the ‘But’
One of the most frightening phrases God could utter is, "OK. Have it your way." Yet how often we go blindly forward, using our own best efforts and ideas? There's a better way. Insert a "but" before every step. Don't live life without a "but."

Paul repeatedly talked about constant prayer, but we tend to ignore it, reserving our "prayer time" for a few moments in the morning or on the drive to work. It’s time to rethink the instructions to ”pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), “be constant in prayer” (Romans 12:12), and “praying at all times in the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:18). Jesus is our example. We’re never alone, but we’re often out of touch. Lead a life of prayer.
