Don’t Miss the Point
Grace doesn't just forgive sin. It also teaches us how to live properly. It can say, 'I still love you,' and then, 'Now stop that!' Pray for your pastor to have the boldness to train you for effective service.
No itchy ears!
Teaching church folk can be challenging. We either don't understand the first time, forget over time, or probably both. We need to be reminded of our failures and responsibilities, as well as God’s grace, to help us through. Thank God for pastors who provide what we need. Let's go to the assembly of the saints this week, ready to receive what we need.
See You in Church
We are designed by our Maker to seek connection and identification. This drive fills taverns and football stadiums. God put this drive in us to encourage us to connect with other believers. He wants us to depend on each other.
Reclaim the Sabbath
Itf you're struggling with the weight of life, or frustrated by unanswered prayers, or feeling discouraged and alone, or struggling for physical healing, maybe it's a good time to swallow that spiritual pride and go to church. Lives change in His Presence.
Take, Learn, Rest.
Jesus declared that all who come to Him will find rest. Our New Creation Sabbath is a person, not a day. Sure, we still need to take time to rest, contemplate, and marvel at His goodness, but we have a New Creation grace that makes rest our default position.
Let’s Try a Little Faith
As we prepare for church this week, we can make our meeting more than a lecture and a mini-concert. If we come with faith, Jesus will still show up. He hasn't changed!
It is Finished!
Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Father because He had finished His work of redemption. Have you ever thought about all that is already yours because of what He did? Take a moment. Stop your work, mental and physical, and be thankful for what's already been done.
A Song for the Sabbath
It's Sunday.,the Lord's Day. Don't waste it. If you don't know what to do, here's a good template. Church is an oasis in the desert. On this beautiful Sunday, I encourage you to enjoy a day of Sabbath rest that includes the elements of Psalm 92, a Song for the Sabbath.
We’re Glad You’re Here
Woiuldn't it be great if there were a place you could count on being accepted, maybe even celebrated? How about we just decide to create one.
