So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (Mark 11:22-24 NKJV)
I have prayed for healing for many dear people over the last 39 years. Some have been healed, some have not. Since I am convinced that healing is always the perfect plan of God, I have to ask myself, “What hinders people in receiving their healing?” Some things are obvious: If your lungs are messed up, quit smoking. If your liver is swollen, quit drinking, etc. Others are more “spiritual” in nature. Two things pop up time and time again. In a previous post from a Tuesday evening teaching, I dealt with the first one: A general sense of unworthiness or shame. Jesus has dealt with those issues, but until you believe it, your faith will be hindered in all other areas. Today, I want to address the secondd major hindrance to healing: that faith thing. If you don’t understand it you will never receive what God intends – you have to believe it before you see it. Watch the teaching here: That Faith Thing.
