Building People of Substance for Works of Power
Rise up and take your place and let’s get on to the end of the race. Let the Lord use you and do your part. The end-time revival is about to start. It’s a revival of power, a revival of love, a revival of peace and the Holy Ghost dove. The revival will come and He wants to use you if you’ll only step in and do what you do. It’s a revival in the street a revival in the school, a revival on the job and wherever darkness rules. It’s a revival carried out by those without a name of their own. It’s the Name of the Son and His Name alone, that will receive all the credit and endure all the shame, He’s more than able, but He will only do, what the Church that’s His Body will obey Him to do.– Prophecy through Pastor Virgil Stokes in Tarma, Junín, Peru. 11/30/19
Last week another faith giant went to Heaven. Only Eternity will reveal how many lives and nations were impacted though the life of Reinhard Bonnke. The news of his departure came shortly after I had an interesting conversation with a young man in Peru. He was talking about all the great sermons available on YouTube from Kenneth Hagin, John Osteen, and a host of other beacons of faith and healing. His question was, “What’s going to happen now that all these great men are gone?” I responded, “It’s up to you!” He had heard all the sermons, seen all the videos, but he was still watching a show, not living a life. I believe the days of celebrity preachers are disappearing. The day of the Church as a whole stepping up is here.
When Jesus saw the mass of brokenness that came to Him in response to His miracles in Matthew 9:36, compassion moved Him to call for prayer for more laborers, then to empower His disciples to go out and heal the sick (Matthew 10:1). Delegating authority and multiplying power has been His strategy at every turn (Luke 10:1; Mark 16:15-18). This last great revival will be a move of miracle power, not in churches turned into theaters, but through the Church turned out into the street, the venues of real life. The Kingdom is a “we”, not a “me” or a “he.” The same Spirit that anointed Jesus of Nazareth with power rests upon every believer who will receive it. (Acts 10:38; Acts 1:8) He is on us for one purpose: to give evidence that Jesus is alive.
Somebody Said: “And so men… Yea, if you please. Some would call them a “NEW BREED,” shall rise up and go forth. They shall not be afraid of the devil. They shall have no fear of men but with boldness shall they speak and shall challenge the very strongholds of the devil. And there shall be a great shaking. But those who are settled in upon the Rock of ages, shall stand and shout above the storm. And see above the darkness the might of God breaking on the horizon of time and they shall be reflectors of that Light that shall shine forth into the darkness.” Kenneth E. Hagin 1975
Scripture Reading: AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, SAYS GOD, THAT I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH; YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS. (18) AND ON MY MENSERVANTS AND ON MY MAIDSERVANTS I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT IN THOSE DAYS; AND THEY SHALL PROPHESY. (19) I WILL SHOW WONDERS IN HEAVEN ABOVE AND SIGNS IN THE EARTH BENEATH: BLOOD AND FIRE AND VAPOR OF SMOKE. Acts 2:17-19 NKJV
Here’s the Point: The Church is the Body of Christ. We are commissioned as a Body to represent Him in the earth. We do what He would do if He were in our situation. There is no Plan B. Our job is to be steeped in the Word, sensitive to the Spirit, and willing to pay the price of obedience. It’s high time to quit looking for another superstar and just do what we are here to do. The world is waiting. Let’s do this!
