When God gives you direction for your life or ministry, write it down. Until you write it down, it's nothing more than a pipe dream. It’s devoid of substance. Writing forces you to express ideas in a coherent manner. If you can't write it, you don't understand it. You won't be able to effectively share it with others.

Be sure to test out your revelations before you palm them off on somebody else as being from God. If you do miss it, be willing to admit it. It will give you more credibility, not less. There’s no hurry, we have all eternity, and a God who knows the end from the beginning.

If we are honest in our desire to please God, not self, our first step is to check our own heart. We’re all still human after all. Most of our thinking is about us. We all have our own experiences, needs, and desires. We naturally interpret things through those lenses. Because of this, a heart check may be in order.

What if We Practice What We Preach?

Jesus, the Christ, will be in our midst as we lift our voices in worship. It doesn’t matter if the band is good or the songs uplifting. It only matters that we praise Him and please Him. When I realize that I am there for Him, not Him for me, miracles happen, and opportunities follow.

People Need Purpose
