Sunday Supernaturally: Ready or Not…

Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it.

(2 Corinthians 13:5 MSG)

It’s the last Sunday of 2019.  I hope it will be challenging, encouraging, and thought-provoking for you.  We are heading into what I believe will be a wild ride in 2020.  Please take time to get ready. For this final gathering of 2019, I encourage you to look back at your notes from last year. (You do write down things the Lord says to you, don’t you?)  What did He say to you to start 2019?  Are there things you need to attend to before you move on to the next assignment?

Let me add this about  New Year’s resolutions: don’t make them.  Instead, set goals and make plans. Write them down, put the plan on your calendar, and look at your calendar every day.  (If you don’t use one, get one!)  And, while I’m meddling, it’s OK to have personal goals, but you can fail at those with no real impact. It’s the goals and assignments that He gives you that I am interested in.  What did God tell you to do, learn, or change in 2019? Did you get ‘er done?  Are you at least in progress?  If not, why not? Be honest.  Repent.  Make adjustments. Go forward.  There are huge events just ahead.  Get ready.

See you in church!
