He’s Jesus, and we’re not. But He did say, “In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. (John 16:26-27 ESV)” Let’s try it out today.
Sunday Supernaturally: Presence on Purpose
Most of us begin our services with worship music of some sort. One of the reasons we do this is to invite the Presence of God into our midst in a tangible way. He enthrones Himself on the praises of His people.
Sunday Supernaturally: Called, Separated, Gathered
The word "Church" conjures up different pictures and emotions for everyone, usually depending on personal experience with some group. I’ve come to believe that many of us have drifted a bit from the original intent.
Sunday Supernaturally: The Fount of All Provision
If we’re led by need, we’re subject to being led by the source of all lack. We want to be led by the fount of all provision. Start at the throne, then go into the world.
Sunday Supernaturally: Appreciate the Gift
This is Pastor Appreciation Month. I’ve always appreciated the 3-step outline that Paul gave to the Thessalonians. If you want to fully enjoy the gift of God in your pastor, try these three things.
Sunday Supernaturally: Sealed!
As you head to the gathering of the saints, be alert to what God is doing in your heart. He is in you, He has marked you, and He wants you to know so.
Sunday Supernaturally, Special Edition: PRAY!
Please pray for Israel. There's not much else to say.
Pastor Virgil Update 10/06/23
"That’s what I’m praying for in our land: A church full of hungry hearts. I’ve seen what happens when people genuinely get hungry for God – He shows up! Lord, give us hungry hearts!"
Let’s Return to Him
The tithe is for the purpose of taking care of the house of God, the ministry, and those in need. Those purposes have not changed. What has changed is the heart of those who believe in Jesus Christ.
Sunday Supernaturally: The Life-giving Spirit
Christianity is not a list of behaviors to avoid or pursue. Following Jesus is a life-long process of developing intimacy with a living person who has direct access to my heart.
